We have accumulated over seventy years of accounting and tax experience. Whether you have one truck, multiple trucks, or are a company driver, we can provide the tax service you deserve. 

Our operation is dedicated to the service of the trucking industry and our accounting and tax staff is continually updated on tax changes and how they affect the truck driving industry.

MEET THE TEAM

Jim Larsen

James Larsen graduated from University of Nebraska in 1980. He worked for KPMG for three years, then a local accounting firm for several years until, in 1987 he opened his own accounting practice. In 1993, he was approached by Werner Enterprises to begin a specialized accounting service for their new Owner Operator Program. Jim focuses on income taxes for small businesses and individuals. When he is not in his office, you will find him playing golf, traveling, or spending time with his family.

Doug Kozeny

Doug Kozeny focuses on tax preparation and compliance as well as handling business issues for clients. He also assists clients with IRS issues and with a variety of business and real estate-related transactions, including acquisitions, development, leasing transactions, and sales. In addition, his practice involves assisting clients with the formation, purchase and sale of various business entities and assets, as well as valuations and tax planning.

Doug received his Juris Doctor degree from the Creighton University College of Law in May of 1987. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University majoring in Accounting in May of 1984. Doug is admitted to practice in Nebraska as well as the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District of Nebraska and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.

Kelsey Richards

Kelsey Richards is the office administrative assistant here at Larsen

and Associates. She can answer most of your basic tax questions or concerns and if not, she will find the answer for you or direct you to the person that can! Her academic background is in psychology, but she finds the accounting and tax business as a perfect match.

Shelly Keene

In January of 2017 Shelly started working at Larsen & Associates. Shelly works with the clients that use the Payroll Services. The road trips to watch her daughter play College Softball keeps her on the move. Her son is also very active with Baseball and has a Black Belt in Taekwondo. In her spare time she enjoys cuddles with her Puggle Lucy. There is never a dull moment in their lives!

Tracy Grell

Tracy started at Larsen & Associates right out of high school, knowing that she wanted to be an accountant. A few years into college at the University of Nebraska, she found that taxes were where her focus should be. Once she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Business, specializing in Accounting she stayed to further her career. After 20 years, a family, and a hobby farm she still enjoys all aspects of tax planning and preparation.

Janice Dube

Janice began working with Larsen & Associates in 1991. She specializes in individual income tax and business payroll tax. When she is not at work, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
